The Waste Management and Waste as a Renewable Energy Resource project, implemented by the NBE Foundation, has reached its final phase. So far 17 secondary schools have been visited (7 in Skopje and 10 in other cities throughout Macedonia).

The interactive visits featured presentations, as well as open and constructive discussions, and the participants and the teachers filled out evaluation forms. The objectives of the project, namely to introduce the waste management strategy to the students and to demonstrate the possibilities for using waste as a renewable energy source, sparked considerable interest, made students think in that direction and incited them to suggest ways in which this topic could be expanded and elaborated in the future.
